Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 17 mm, 2.63 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Siscia. Irregular mint, after 318. Laureate, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right; around, imitative legend. Rev. Two victories standing facing each other; between them, indistinct object and Θ; around, imitative legend. A magnificent coin of incredibly charming style. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This coin is a highly stylized reproduction of Constantine's 'VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP' Danubian type coinage, minted from 318 in Siscia. It showcases a unique Picasso-style bust and ranks among the most stylized imitations of its kind.
